The Wind and the Willows’ roots lie in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Growing up in the town of Evergreen, Colorado, lead singers Ryen Dalvit and Maren Stubenvoll started writing music in high school, and haven’t stopped playing since. From writing tunes in caves and on top of mountains to performing in taprooms, hot springs, and small music festivals, these once upon a time classmates became a songwriting duo joined by some of Bozeman’s most unique and talented musicians. Their original and whimsical harmonies are blended with the talents of banjo player Tommy Diestel, African drummer and vocalist Sarah Budeski, trumpet player Nick Popiel, fiddler Silas Rea, and stand up bassist Ryan Totman. Excited to be coming up on their one year anniversary, they’re happy to have brought a distinct sound to Montana blending brass, strings, and triple harmonies with original music. The Wind and the Willows bring a fresh taste of folk to their new home in Bozeman and thank you for listening.
