6pm Light Reception/ 7Pm Seating Begins

On Wednesday, April 10, The Whittier Elementary School Parent Advisory Committee is hosting an evening in conversation with Steven Rinella, hunter, author, conservationist and host of the Netflix Original Series MeatEater and The MeatEater Podcast. The evening will commence with a light reception and silent auction in the lobby of the Museum of the Rockies at 6:00 pm, seating will begin at 7:00 pm in the Hager Auditorium, and Rinella’s conversation will begin at 7:30 pm and will include an audience Q&A session.

Rinella, who is known for engaging a wide variety of audiences on the hunting and fishing lifestyle, will discuss his international hunting experiences, share his thoughts on stewardship and wildlife conservation and reflect on the value of passing outdoor lessons to children.

MeatEater first premiered on Netflix in January 2012 and has now completed its seventh season. The series has received four Sportsman Choice Awards nominations, including Best New Series, Best Host, Best Hunting Show and Best Educational Show. Rinella, who recently relocated to Bozeman, MT, also writes for Outside Magazine and American Hunter and is the author of several books including The MeatEater Fish and Game Cookbook (2018), MeatEater: Adventures from the Life of an American Hunter (2013), and American Buffalo: In Search of a Lost Icon (2009).

Tickets are available for $45 and include one drink and entry into the raffle for MeatEater gear. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Whittier PAC’s effort to support and enrich the lives and community of Whittier Elementary School students.
